COMPLETION OF ALL UNITS OF INNOVATIVE TEACHERS SUPPORT PACKAGE (ITSP) BY 15 AUGUST-2023

2) Primary school teachers (PSTs) form almost 60% of all public-school teachers in Punjab. Therefore, focusing on the professional development of PSTs will not only improve the quality of primary education but also reform our educational structure overall.
3) The school based CPD model seeks to create an effective mechanism to support PSTs at their schools, in which the Assistant Education Officers (AEOS) play the role of observers and mentors.
The school-based CPD model is a paradigm shift from conventional face-to-face training to a blended training approach – a combination of online training through digital modules and face-to-face classroom observation by AEOs and discussion among PSTs of a Markaz in monthly Teacher Forum Meetings organized by AEOS.
4) It is to inform you that, QAED launched the digitized module of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) for all the Primary School Teachers (PSTs) and instructed all the teachers to download the ITSP app and complete the eleven units of the CPD module.
However, up till now, only 68,707 PSTs from 21,082 schools have successfully completed all eleven units while the rest of the teachers have partially completed that module (summary attached at Annex-A).
5) Therefore, all District Education Authorities (DEAs) are requested to direct primary school teachers to complete the task before 15th August, 2023 and download their completion certificates.
Note: Disciplinary proceedings will be recommended against the concerned DEAs in case of non-compliance.
