Government Enhances Financial Assistance for Families of Civil Servants Who Die in Service December 2023
Subject: REVISION IN FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PACKAGE FOR THE FAMILY OF A CIVIL SERVANT WHO DIES WHILE IN SERVICE.
In continuation of this department’s policy letter of even number dated-15.08.2017 and in pursuance of decision of the Caretaker Provincial Cabinet in its 32nd meeting held on 21.11.2023, I am directed to state that the Governor of the Punjab has been pleased to approve following revision in the provisions of Sr. No.1 & 5 of para-1 of existing Financial Assistance Package notified vide Finance Department’s policy letter bearing No.FD-SR-1/3-10/2004 dated 15.08.2017 for the families of civil servants who diel while in service. It shall be applicable w.e.f. 21.11.2023:
Appointment of one child or widow in BS-1 to BS-11 (including the post of Patwari and Junior Clerk) on contract or regular basis as per provisions of Rules 17-A of the PCS (A&CS) Rules, 1974. Revised rates.
