MA Education Degree Is Equivalent To M.Ed, BS.Ed & B.Ed

Notification of Equivalence Degrees of MA Education, M.Ed & BS Education by (SED). The Degree of M.A Education is Equivalent to M.ed. MA Education, M.Ed. and BS Education are equivalent degrees to B.Ed. (4 years) / B.Ed. (Hons), BS.Ed (4 years degree) B.Ed. 2.5 years (after 14 years qualification) and B.Ed 1.5 years (after 16 years qualification).

NO.SO(SE-I)1-105/2023: Pursuant to the recommendations of Qualification Equivalence Determination Committee (QEDC) in its meeting dated 16.05.2023, it is notified that MA Education, M.Ed. and BS Education are equivalent degrees to B.Ed. (4 years) / B.Ed. (Hons), BS.Ed (4 years degree) B.Ed. 2.5 years (after 14 years qualification) and B.Ed 1.5 years (after 16 years qualification) for the purpose of recruitment and for promotion of teachers.

All these disciplines / nomenclatures are Professional as well as Academic and Vice Versa. The committee unanimously decided that the said decision will be enforced with immediate effect i.e. from the date of commencement of this QEDC.
