Punjab Government Employee Healthcare Deduction – Sehat Sahulat Program Financial Sustainability Strategies
Subject: PROPOSED INTERVENTION FOR LONG TERM FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY OF THE SEHAT SAHULAT PROGRAM / UNIVERSAL HEALTH INSURANCE PROGRAM
(Premium contribution from all government employees of the Punjab)
Kindly refer to this department’s earlier letter of even number dated 22.06.2023 regarding subject captioned above.
2) I am directed to refer to the following decision taken by the Provincial Cabinet in its 18th meeting dated 21.06.2023:
“Premium contribution from all government employees of the Punjab. The Finance Department shall develop a mechanism for the deduction of family-based premium from all employees of the Government of the Punjab who are permanent residents of Punjab”
3) Therefore, it is requested to kindly develop a mechanism for the at source deduction of family-based premium, of Rs. 4,350/- per family per year or Rs. 362.5/- per family per month, from all employees of the Government of the Punjab, who are permanent residents of Punjab, in the light of the decision of the Provincial Cabinet.
It is, however, clarified that if two members of a family are government employees then deduction from monthly or annual salary of only one of the family members shall be made.

2) مجھے صوبائی کی طرف سے لیے گئے درج ذیل فیصلے کا حوالہ دینے کی ہدایت کی گئی ہے۔
کابینہ نے 21.06.2023 کو اپنے 18ویں اجلاس میں:
“پنجاب کے تمام سرکاری ملازمین کی طرف سے پریمیم شراکت۔
محکمہ خزانہ حکومت پنجاب کے ان تمام ملازمین سے فیملی بیسڈ پریمیم کی کٹوتی کے لیے ایک طریقہ کار تیار کرے گا جو پنجاب کے مستقل رہائشی ہیں۔
3) اس لیے درخواست ہے کہ برائے مہربانی اس کے لیے ایک طریقہ کار تیار کریں۔
خاندان پر مبنی پریمیم کی منبع کٹوتی، روپے کی 4,350/- فی خاندان فی سال یا روپے۔ صوبائی کابینہ کے فیصلے کی روشنی میں حکومت پنجاب کے تمام ملازمین سے، جو پنجاب کے مستقل رہائشی ہیں، فی خاندان 362.5/- ماہانہ۔
تاہم، یہ واضح کیا گیا ہے کہ اگر ایک خاندان کے دو افراد سرکاری ملازم ہیں تو خاندان کے صرف ایک فرد کی ماہانہ یا سالانہ تنخواہ سے کٹوتی کی جائے گی۔
