The Literacy and Numeracy Campaign (LND) for school education is a step taken by the Government of Punjab in collaboration with the Punjab IT Board to evaluate how schools are performing.
For efficient measurement of progress, field officers or Monitoring and Evaluation Assistants (MEAs) are given tools.
These devices have built-in applications developed by the Punjab IT Board, which contain a series of tests based on multiple choice questions, and students in each school are selected on a random basis to take these tests.
The test consists of seven multiple choice questions related to Urdu, English and Mathematics. Six students from different grades are selected from each school.
The LND test has been made compulsory for the students of class 3rd in order to boost the intellectual level along with bringing strong awareness respectively.
The question sets in LND practice test have been designed by the CM Roadmap team with the help of Punjab IT Board.
It is prepared on the basis of SLOs taken from the course outline. An average of 49,000 public schools are visited on a monthly basis, with approximately 2,400 visits each day.
